1. How ordering works
There is no checkout on this site. You email us what you want, we send an invoice through Stripe, you pay it, and it ships. That is the whole process, and it means there is no account to create and no cart to abandon.
Published prices are before tax. Quoted items come back as one number with freight already inside it. Nothing is added after you approve.
2. Where we ship
United States only, and currently only within the local area we serve. We do not publish that area; submit an availability request and we will confirm whether we can reach you. We do not ship internationally, to freight forwarders, or to PO boxes. Kitchen equipment requires a commercial delivery address.
3. Lead times
| What | Typical time |
|---|---|
| POS hardware | 2 to 4 business days |
| Stocked supplies | 1 to 2 business days |
| Printed supplies | 5 to 10 business days after artwork approval |
| Branded apparel | 2 to 3 weeks after proof approval |
| Kitchen equipment | 1 to 4 weeks, by freight |
These are typical, not guaranteed. Where something will take materially longer we tell you before you pay rather than after.
4. Freight deliveries
Kitchen equipment ships by freight, which works differently from a parcel. By default that is curbside delivery to a commercial address during business hours, with an appointment call first. You are responsible for someone being present to sign, for moving the item inside unless liftgate or inside delivery was quoted, and for confirming it fits through your doors before you order. Ask for liftgate or inside delivery up front; added later it costs considerably more.
5. Inspect on arrival
This matters most on freight. Inspect before you sign. Note visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and tell us. A clean signature on a damaged shipment makes a carrier claim very hard to win, and that is the carrier's rule, not ours. Report damage or a short shipment within 5 business days.
Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery. If a shipment is lost in transit we handle the carrier claim and get you a replacement or a refund.
6. Returns: 30 days on stocked items
Hardware and supplies bought at a published price may be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are in resalable condition, undamaged and unmodified, with all accessories. Opened packaging is fine. Hardware you actually tried is fine: that is the point of a return window.
What cannot be returned
- Custom printed and made-to-order goods. Branded apparel, printed tents, signage, bags, and labels are produced against your artwork and have no resale value to anyone else. This is why we send a proof and do not start production until you approve it.
- Special-order kitchen equipment, which follows the supplier's return terms. Any restocking fee is passed through at cost and disclosed in the quote before you order.
- Modified hardware, including Unlocked units that have been opened at the board level or reflashed.
- Opened consumables, for hygiene and resale reasons.
We charge no restocking fee on stocked items returned in resalable condition. If we got it wrong, we pay return shipping and replace or refund at your choice. If it is simply not right for you, you pay return shipping.
Refunds go to the original payment method through Stripe once we receive and inspect the return, normally within 3 business days of arrival. Original shipping is refunded only where the return is our error.
7. Hardware warranty
Hardware carries the manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, passed through to you. Typical terms are 12 months from delivery. We handle the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf, so you are not arguing with a support line about a product you bought from us.
Not covered
- Physical damage, drops, spills, and impact.
- Liquid or grease ingress beyond the item's rating, and use outside its environmental rating.
- Power surges and unstable or improperly grounded electrical supply.
- Normal wear, consumables, and wear parts: paper, batteries past their rated cycles, print heads worn by use.
- Damage from third-party accessories, power supplies, or mounts.
- Modification, disassembly, or reflashing.
- Software of any kind, including faults that present as hardware faults.
On Unlocked, this manufacturer warranty is the only warranty that applies; the hardware is otherwise sold as-is under section 4 of the Terms.
Making a claim
Email hello@visibleseed.com with your order reference, what the item does and what it should do, photographs where the fault is visible, and whether the restaurant is currently down because of it. Say that plainly and it goes to the front. Where a replacement is the fastest path we ship first and sort the paperwork afterwards.
The remedy is repair, replacement, or refund of the item, at our reasonable discretion and in consultation with you. Our liability for a warranty claim will not exceed what you paid for the affected item. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
8. Defective on arrival
Hardware that does not work on arrival is a replacement, not a warranty claim. Tell us within 30 days and we replace or refund at your choice, and we pay shipping both ways.
